My School's Bulletin Boards

I thought it would be nice this year to share, not just my beginning of year bulletin board, but my coworker's bulletin boards too! We have a very creative group of faculty and staff who care deeply for our kids and wanted them to feel welcomed! My favorite is the first one. We had it ready for 'Meet the Teacher Night' and each child colored a paper Smartie and received the candy also. I hope you can find some great ideas for your own bulletin boards.

Easter Egg Bunnies!!!

I found the cutest idea from Brittany from Tickled Pink in Primary! She posted her adorable bulletin board idea on facebook which is now also shared on her blog. I just had to have my kids create these cute little Easter Egg Bunnies! They were a lot of fun to create and the kids loved the results! Thank you Brittany for sharing an adorable idea!

Valentine Exchange!

Last December, I participated in a Gingerbread Man Exchange so I jumped at the chance to participate in the Valentine Exchange hosted by PAWSitively Teaching.

My 2nd graders had a blast decorating their hearts and mailing them off. As the Valentines came in we placed them on our bulletin board and learned about each school, city, and state. What a great learning experience for my 2nd graders!

Here is the picture of all the Valentines we have received! We have received all but two and I have left a space in the corner for the last two that we hope will arrive this week.

Here are the Valentines we mailed off. The kids loved decorating their Valentines and the envelopes they traveled in.

And here we are making our Valentines! I don't usually break out the glitter except at Christmas, but...well...here we are...glitter and all! They did come out cute!
